“Much of spiritual life is self acceptance, maybe all of it”
Jack Kornfield
OUR PRACTICE
During a mindfulness practice, we move from a ‘doing’ mode where we see thoughts as an accurate description of reality to ‘being’ mode, where our relationship to thoughts shift and we see thoughts, feelings, sounds and other aspects of moment to moment experiences in the same way.
We move away from a narrow focus of thinking to expansiveness. We are more able to tolerate emotional turmoils in our life. We can adjust to change more readily and learn to accept things as they are.
DEEP BENEFITS
Mindfulness practice is helpful to almost anyone who takes the time to practice it. As my teacher explained to me “it’s not a skill but a way of life”. Let that be the case, but for now, lets also learn this new skill so we can gather together and learn about ourselves in a way we haven’t known ourselves before. Lets, for just one moment forget the past, the future, our judgments of ourselves and others and come back to the present. Come back to who we really are.

OUR COVID SAFE PROTOCOLS
Please stay at home if you are feeling unwell. Hand sanitiser is accessible at the venue entry, we sanitise all mats and props that are used during meditation or the sound session.

“Don’t meditate to fix yourself, to heal yourself, to improve yourself, to redeem yourself; rather do it as an act of love, of deep warm friendship to yourself. In this way there is no longer any need for the subtle aggression of self-improvement, for the endless guilt of not doing enough. It offers the possibility of an end to the ceaseless round of trying so hard that wraps so many people’s lives in a knot. Instead there is now meditation as an act of love.”
